Описание
Affected release: SAP Solution Manager ST400
Fixed versions and patch levels: ST400 SP23
Reasons and prerequisites for the for vulnerabilities:
Cross Site Scripting
Pages within the SAP Solution Manager (Operations part) do not sufficiently encode INPUT parameters, resulting in a reflected cross site scripting issue. A reflected cross site scripting attack can be used to non-permanently deface or modify displayed content from a web site.
Reflected cross site scripting can be used to steal another user's authentication information such as data relating to their current session. An attacker who gains access to this data may use this to impersonate the user and access all information with the same rights as the target user. In case of an administrator being impersonated, a full compromise of the application's security can be may occur.
SQL injection
The problem is caused by a SQL injection vulnerability. The code composes a SQL statement including strings which can be altered by a malicious user. The manipulated SQL statement can then be used to retrieve additional information from the database or potentially modify it.
Hard-coded user names (Backdoor)
The program code contains a hard-coded username which changes the system's behaviour should a user authenticate successfully. The user may obtain additional information which should not be displayed.
